ROUGHLY DECIPHERED:

Know all men by these presents that as Paul Ballentine & Robt. Todd (Jr?) are held and firmly bound unto our  Lord King George the Second in the sum of Fifty pounds __________ to be fined unto ___________ aforesaid __________ Lord King his heirs and to ________ true payment whereof we bind ourselves to each of the jointly and severally of these presents.  Sealed to _______ this 16th day of Nov'br. 1736

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereupon a marriage by God's Grace is intended to be _______ and solemnized Between Paul Ballentine and Ann Cawson and Lycenses for that purposes is this day granted him.  If therefore there be no lawful cause to restrict this marriage and _________ P. Ballentine shall save harmless all persons concerned in granting this lycense _______ the above obligation to be void or else to remain in force.
